Pian dei Ciliegi Anti-Covid Protocol

Due to the recent regulations for the containment of Covid19, we must reduce the number of participants in our retreats to 20, so that everyone can have a single room and share a bathroom with one other person. Furthermore, this is the only way to ensure regular distancing between people in the meditation hall and in the dining room.

We remind you of the opportunity to enter the "Cherry Tree", a virtual International Meditation Room in Pian dei Ciliegi open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for all those who practice mindfulness meditation (Vipassana) and Loving Kindness (Metta) wherever they are and at any time of the day.

The Opening of a Virtual Meditation Room

Dear friends,

unfortunately our meditation centre is still closed, and it is still uncertain when we will be able to open again. At the moment all our May retreats are confirmed, but we might have to cancel them if the measures taken by the government to contain the Covid-19 are extended.

The Dhamma doesn’t close down, however, and many of us are taking this period of suspension from our usual activities as an opportunity to deepen our practice, through the many offers of on-line meditation. We would like to suggest a few (in English):

-every evening Pian dei Ciliegi opens its virtual meditation hall to yogis who want to share their practice; it’s guided by a different Italian Dhamma teacher or experienced yogi every evening, with an occasional “special guest” (Wednesday April 15th and 22nd Bhante Sujiva will guide a couple of meditations). We are in the process of switching to another platform, and will give you the necessary information asap. For the time being, we are still using Zoom and you can write to
This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we can give you the credentials to access the hall.

- on our you tube channel “Centro di Meditazione Pian dei Ciliegi” you can find some selected talks from our past retreats and Bhante Sujiva’s Monday night talks.

- every evening Bhante Bodhidhamma is offering “Lockdown Evening Meditations” from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m. (London time). For more information go to www.satipanya.uk.org

-Marcia Rose is offering guided meditations until June every Sunday at 9.30 a.m. (US time). For more information go to www.mountainhermitage.org

May you be safe, peaceful, healthy and happy
