Ritiro di meditazione di Satipaṭṭhāna Vipassanā nella tradizione Mahasi

Il ritiro è aperto a tutti; è in lingua inglese con traduzione in italiano e prevede sessioni alternate di meditazione seduta e camminata, colloqui individuali regolari e discorsi di Dhamma tutte le sere. Verrà chiesto a tutti i partecipanti di rispettare il Nobile Silenzio e di prendere gli otto o i cinque precetti (vedere spiegazioni sul sito).

È possibile partecipare per un periodo più breve, per un minimo di 10 giorni, purché si inizi con il gruppo e solo nel caso ci siano ancora posti disponibili due mesi prima dell'inizio del ritiro. L’arrivo è previsto tra le 14 e le 17 del primo giorno; il termine è dopo il pranzo dell’ultimo giorno.

Bhante Gavesi è un monaco malese che attualmente vive a Penang. È stato ordinato da Sayadaw U Pandita del Panditarama in Myanmar nel 2001. Ha guidato numerosi ritiri a Penang, Kuala Kubu Bharu, Kota Tinggi, Melaka, Kuching, Sabah e altri luoghi in Malesia. Diffonde il Dhamma anche negli Stati Uniti, in Europa, Indonesia e Nepal. Attualmente è consigliere spirituale della Peace House a Penang.

Satipatthana Vipassanā meditation retreat in the Mahasi tradition

The retreat is open to all and is in English with Italian translation. It includes alternating sessions of sitting and walking meditation, regular interviews and Dhamma talks every evening. All participants will be asked to respect the Noble Silence and take the eight or five precepts (see explanations on our website). It is possible to participate in a shorter period, for a minimum of 10 days, provided you start with the group and only in case there are still places available two months before the beginning of the retreat. Arrival is between 2pm and 5pm on the first day, departure is after lunch on the last day.

Bhante Gavesi is a Malaysian Bhikkhu who is currently based in Penang. He was ordained by the late Sayadaw U Pandita of Panditarama in Myanmar in the year 2001. He has led several retreats in Penang, Kuala Kubu Bharu, Kota Tinggi, Melaka, Kuching, Sabah and other places in Malaysia. He also spreads the Dhamma in the USA, Europe, Indonesia and Nepal. Presently, he is the Spiritual Advisor of Peace House in Penang.
