Ritiro di meditazione Satipaṭṭhāna Vipassanā nella tradizione di Mahāsi Sayadaw

Il ritiro è aperto a tutti; è in lingua inglese con traduzione in italiano e prevede sessioni alternate di meditazione seduta e camminata, oltre a colloqui individuali regolari e discorsi di Dhamma tutte le sere. Verrà chiesto a tutti i partecipanti di rispettare il Nobile Silenzio e di prendere gli otto o i cinque precetti (vedere spiegazioni sul sito).

L’arrivo è previsto tra le 14 e le 17 del primo giorno; il termine è dopo il pranzo dell’ultimo giorno.

Sayadaw U Vivekananda inizia la sua formazione sotto la guida del Ven. Sayadaw U Panditabhivamsa nel 1988. È un insegnante tedesco residente al Panditarama Lumbini International Vipassanā Meditation Center, in Nepal, dove insegna meditazione di insight e meditazione sui Brahmavihāra dal 1998. Conduce ritiri anche in altri Paesi del mondo, guidando i meditanti in inglese, tedesco, francese e birmano. Ha tradotto i discorsi di Dhamma del Ven. Sayadaw U Panditabhivamsa al Panditarama Lumbini e al Forrest Refuge, che sono stati raccolti e pubblicati con il titolo “Beautifying the mind” da Inward Path nel 2007, e “The state of mind called beautiful” da Wisdom Publications nel 2006. Sayadaw U Vivekananda ha anche scritto diversi articoli sul Buddhismo e sull’ambiente.

Satipaṭṭhāna  Vipassanā meditation retreat in the Mahāsi tradition

The retreat is open to all and is in English with Italian translation. It includes alternating sessions of sitting and walking meditation, regular interviews with the teacher and Dhamma talks every evening. All participants will be asked to respect the Noble Silence and take the eight or five precepts (see explanations on our website).

Arrival is between 2pm and 5pm on the first day, departure is after lunch on the last day.

Sayadaw U Vivekananda began his training under Ven. Sayadaw U Panditabhivamsa in 1988. He is a German teacher resident at the Panditarama Lumbini International Vipassanā Meditation Center in Nepal, where he has taught insight meditation and Brahmavihāra meditation since 1998. He also leads retreats in other countries around the world, guiding meditators in English, German, French, and Burmese. He has translated Ven. Sayadaw U Panditabhivamsa’s Dhamma talks at Panditarama Lumbini and at the Forrest Refuge, which were collected and published under the titles “Beautifying the Mind” by Inward Path in 2007, and “The State of Mind Called Beautiful” by Wisdom Publications in 2006. Sayadaw U Vivekananda has also written several articles on Buddhism and the environment.
