The practice includes meditation instructions (for both sitting and walking meditation), opportunities for sharing, and Dhamma talks. Those who wish may also have private interviews with the teacher.

The teachings are offered free of charge, and the teachers receive no payment for their work. At the end of the retreat, however, as is traditional, participants are invited to make a donation (using the bank details provided by the teacher) as a way of expressing appreciation for the value of the teachings received.

IMPORTANT: Regarding the daily schedule, please note that, as these are special retreats designed to fit into everyday life, participants are NOT required to attend all meditation sessions throughout the day. Participation should be based on what is realistically possible, without forcing oneself.

RETREAT CANCELLATION: Each retreat requires a minimum number of participants, ranging from 6 to 8 depending on the teacher. If this minimum number is not reached, the retreat may be cancelled.

The teacher will communicate any cancellation due to insufficient registrations no later than the Friday before the scheduled start of the retreat. Anyone interested in participating is therefore encouraged to register in good time to help ensure that the retreat can take place as planned. Sometimes, for various reasons, people postpone registering because they believe there is still plenty of time. However, since a minimum number of participants is required, we recommend registering promptly.

This evening gathering has been organised to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Pian dei Ciliegi. In addition, the dāna (donations) usually collected for the teachers will be donated to our fundraising campaign for the purchase of the centre’s main building, helping to secure a future for Pian dei Ciliegi!
